When was the last time someone asked, “What Do YOU Want”?

If you are responsible for work teams, have children or take on the role of caregiver, you may ask this question many times each day.   But when was the last time YOU were asked?  The question may catch you off guard.

What is your vision for the NW Cape?   What is your ideal scene?
WHAT DO YOU WANT?

On the evening of May 7th, 2024, NWNA will present revitalization concepts and transformational strategies to re-image our neighborhoods during the construction and utility work of the North 3 UEP.  NWNA will provide information on all subject matters and follow up with a survey to capture what is most important to you.

  •  Installation of Roundabouts on Old Burnt Store Road (OBSR) at the intersection of all “Parkways” from Embers North to Kismet to slow vehicle traffic

  • Median Beautification and Streetscapes of OBSR and all “Parkways” from Embers north to Kismet from OBSR to Burnt Store Road to expand landscaped areas and create a buffer between vehicles and pedestrians, bikes

  • Replace Five (5) Vehicle Bridges on OBSR with decorative pedestrian, bike and golf cart use bridges from Rosemary Lake north to Alligator Slough to significantly increase bridge heights restricting large boats, eliminate vehicle traffic and define “parkway” neighborhoods

  • Tropicana Park amenities have been duplicated by developers on Islands 6 & 7 of the bordering and planned Gulf Gateway Resort and Marina Village.  Is there a  need for city investment of funds to move forward with the development of a park next to a park?

  • Procurement of funding to complete our streets during the North 3 UEP project

In less than a year from now, McKim & Creed will complete the UEP Design Plan for
North 3.   Once the Design Plan (DP) has been completed, contracting firms will be provided the DP, bid on the work, and the construction in our streets and driveways will commence.

The survey results provided by residents, members, the NWNA board, and real estate professionals will be populated and incorporated into a Strategic Development Plan (SDP).   The SDP will be shared with the City Manager, McKim & Creed, and our Elected Officials.

Our goal is to influence the North 3 UEP Design Plan to reflect the vision, wants and needs of the majority living in and investing in, the neighborhoods of Northwest Cape Coral Florida.

Please take this opportunity to shape our future and join us on May 7th.   Tell us what matters most to you and your family.  Tell us what you want!

 Kind regards,

Jerry Smith, President NWNA
